Alexandra Jamieson Creates Mixed Media Portraits of the Small Business Owners Posted on May 8, 2026June 3, 2026 Alexandra Jamieson is a third-generation self-taught artist born in Portland, Oregon, and based in Brooklyn, New York. She is Managing Director at KUNSTRAUM LLC and Community Arts Coordinator at Craftspring in Brooklyn. Jamieson works across watercolor, collage, and mixed media — her practice is shaped as much by activism as by aesthetics. She is a five-time published author, a City Artist Corps grant recipient, and the co-creator and co-star of the Oscar-nominated documentary Super Size Me. Her activist work includes the Abortion Trading Cards series and The Fascism Tarot deck. Silver Lining commissioned this work from Alexandra Jamieson as part of the small.artists Global series, supported by GoDaddy & JPMorgan Chase & Co. Her latest project, The Grift Deck, launched on Kickstarter and is published by Row House Publishers and Simon & Schuster. Under the name We Create | NYC, she curates exhibitions featuring women, trans, and non-binary artists as a fiscally sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts.
