Breaking The Cycle

Prior to Jadenco Enterprises, Jallen was a social worker in a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kenya. Once her contract ended, she found herself jumping from job to job, each with very short employment periods. Growing tired of this cycle, Jallen decided to use her skills in handiwork passed down from her mother to start a small business and train other people in her expertise, with the goal of accruing sustainable income and expanding her team’s opportunities.

Expansion

Jadenco Enterprises is growing in every area, with its products’ demand increasing among its primarily corporate client base. Most of its customers repeatedly buy from its catalog, and many new clients discover the small business via referrals.

Widespread Impact

Jallen has taught and empowered women and youth from multiple countries in Africa, including Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Through Jadenco Enterprises, she offers training in the production of leather products, including leather apparel and household items, such as seats, mats, tables, and wall decorations. Then, once training is complete, she either employs the trainees or they start production businesses of their own.

Also, when Jallen receives a big order, she partners with the business owners she trained to help her complete the project, providing even more opportunities for stable income within her community.
